Victorian Era
Free Classical Style
Architect: Douglas Salier
Originally built as one of the 2,509 Carnegie Libraries, only 4 of which were built in Australia. The others are in Mildura, VIC. (1908); Northcote, VIC. (1911) and Midland Junction, WA (1912), which was demolished 1966 – to the eternal shame of Midland Council.
